Advent Children

Hurt that runs deep, love that lingers, new enemies and old allies; and a not so distant memory haunting his thoughts.

Final Fantasy VII Advent Children is the CG movie sequel to the hit title Final Fantasy VII. Running approximately 80 mins, Advent Children’s story begins two years after the defeath of Sephiroth. Cloud runs his own transporter business from Seventh Heaven, while Tifa now runs an orphanage.

Coming into contact with our old heroes are three new villains, Kadaj, Yazoo, and Loz. These new enemies claim to have the head of Jenova, and Vincent fears that with Jenova’s cells, there is a possibility that they will be able to resurrect a new Sephiroth. Fighting Tifa in the church, Loz kidnaps Marlene and the rest of the orphans under her charge.

After much convincing on Tifa’s part, Cloud once more, unwillingly becomes the hero. Heading for the base of the villains, the City of Ancients, Cloud has a strange spiritual flash, where he and Aeris are standing back to back in a field of flowers. Desperately seeking her forgiveness, Aeris assures him that she has already granted him forgiveness, somewhat easing his troubled mind.

Cloud then continues on to the City of Ancients and is surrounded by the new villains and the children, whom have been convinced to turn against him. Flying from the sky, Vincent swoops down and rescues Cloud and Marlene. Kadaj unleashes a hore of Shadowcreepers, throwing Midgar into peril. Tifa, Cid, Barret, Vincent, Yuffie and Red XIII fight them, while Cloud goes after Kadaj.

After battling the summoned Bahamut Sin, Cloud eventually comes to be atop a building which is in the process of falling apart. From amongst the flames and debris, a figure turns around, and our hero finds himself face to face with none other then the reborn Sephiroth. "I won’t remain just a memory"…
